As one of the UK’s leading, artisan raw food producers, The Living Food Kitchen is committed to making products that are not only delicious but also provide maximum levels of nourishment for the journey towards good health and well-being. We use many of nature's most nutrient-rich ingredients, such as almonds, cacao, coconut oil, hemp seeds, blueberries and buckwheat, and because nothing is cooked or heated above 45°C the full benefits of the original vitamins, minerals and enzymes are retained. Eat Nature. It's Better For You.The Living Food Kitchen range of desserts, dips, granolas, and milks are available from all good health food stores and online from Planet Organic and Goodness Direct. For more information visit our website or email us.Our range of organic desserts is the perfect way to indulge yourself without feeling guilty. Not only are they free from dairy, wheat, gluten, eggs and soya, but they are packed full of nutritious ingredients like almonds, dates, cashew nuts and virgin coconut oil. Virgin coconut oil is one of nature’s original superfoods and has been proven to help with a range of conditions including high cholesterol, high blood pressure, obesity, thyroid disease, bowel disease, candida, chronic fatigue and diabetes. The main ingredient in coconut oil is lauric acid, the most important essential fatty acid in building and maintaining the body’s immune system. The only other food source with such high concentrations of lauric acid is mother’s milk. We offer three delicious raw alternatives to conventional dips: Hemp Seed Pesto, Hummus and Beetroot Hummus. Our hummus' are the UK’s first to be made with sprouted chickpeas. The process of sprouting chickpeas helps to increase their vitamin content by almost five hundred times. Sprouts are also proven to reduce the incidence of cancers, heart diseases and diabetes. They lower cholesterol, and regulate the absorption of glucose from the digestive system. Moreover, they contribute to the health of the liver, spleen and lungs. Our delicious range of organic buckwheat granolas are free from wheat, gluten, soya, dairy and sugar and are slowly dehydrated at 45ºC to preserve all the enzymes. They are made using sprouted buckwheat and are also packed full of nutritious omega rich seeds. Perfect as a healthy snack, sprinkled on yoghurt or soaked in almond milk. It may surprise some people to learn that buckwheat, commonly thought to be a grain, is actually a fruit and that it is gluten free and not related to wheat at all. The protein in buckwheat contains the eight essential amino acids and is particularly high in lysine. Buckwheat is also rich in many B vitamins as well as phosphorus, magnesium, iron, zinc, copper and manganese. It is also a good oil source of Alpha-Linolenic Acid, which is one of the two essential fatty acids we must have to be healthy. Our delicious range of almond milks are the only fresh, raw, unpasteurized nut milks available in the UK and are currently only available in Planet Organic in London. Almonds are a powerhouse of protein and are a good source of Vitamin E, calcium, zinc, selenium, magnesium, manganese, potassium, phosphorous, iron and copper. Almonds are higher in magnesium than spinach. Magnesium helps us cope with stress and helps to maintain a healthy nervous system. The combination of potassium, magnesium and calcium found in almond milk makes it an ideal brain food, good for enhancing memory and concentration. Enjoy our delicious range of raw foods today!
ReviewsWhen it comes to pre-packaged raw foods, being brutally honest, there have been only a handful of companies in the UK that have genuinely impressed me. The Living Food Kitchen is one of them, and to date, is sitting in the number one spot. What the people at LFK have managed to do is take very simple, healthy raw food recipes and create desserts, dips and drinks that are flavoursome, rich and satisfying for every type of eater. While I love the grab-and-go aspect of eating LFK foods, my boyfriend - a totally sensual eater – will happily spoon his way through a lemon, blueberry or raspberry cheesecake and enjoy it just as much as any other cheesecake. Plus he loves the fact that it’s actually good for him. Karen Knowler Do you have a review you'd like to add? Click here to do so...
